Do you schedule your posts for Facebook? There's a school of thought that you are better scheduling from within Facebook itself if possible rather than using a third party app as it could give your posts more traction...worth considering!

Newsflash: You can now add a SHOP section on your page!! Your customers can purchase directly from Facebook, without leaving the platform.

[Of course, apps like Shopify already offer the Buy on Facebook feature, but now it's coming to Page owners directly from Facebook!]

The new f-commerce Shop feature is VERY easy and quick to set up, with a variety of options.

PAYMENT
Payment is processed through Stripe - you can sync an existing account or set up a new one. Facebook does *not* charge a fee or percentage on purchases from your shop. When you set up your Facebook Shop, you will receive an email from Stripe with your new account details. It's fast and easy. Wow, impressive! [Note: When you set up your Stripe account, you'll need to enter all your credentials, tax ID, bank details, etc.]

**Important!!** As the merchant, Stripe will not process payment for your orders until you mark them as shipped. You have to choose from the trackable shipping methods and enter the Tracking Number. This is really good news! You can see Facebook and Stripe have thought of everything - hopefully this process keeps fraud at bay!

WHAT CAN YOU SELL?
Facebook Shop is (currently) geared towards PHYSICAL products. Categories include: Sports & Recreation, Clothing, Shoes, Luggage/Bags, Personal Care, Jewelry, and Watches. Plus an 'Other physical goods' category.

Note: Anything you offer in your Shop will be reviewed by Facebook first before it's available for purchase. The review process is very quick.

VARIABLES
You can edit the variants such as size, color, material, length, fit, scent, flavor, model, format, platform and edition.

TABS
The tabs at the top will condense and all your 3rd party app tabs go into the 'More' dropdown menu, making space for a prominent SHOP tab.

PROMOTION
When you add items to your shop, you can choose to post them to your timeline and boost them as well.

ORDERING & EMAIL FOLLOWUP
The purchase process is seamless for your customers. Their stored credentials are used, including credit card if they have one connected to their Facebook account. If not, they can easily add one.

Plus, on the final cart page, Facebook offers the buyer a chance to TICK A BOX to allow you to contact them with marketing offers and promotions. You can then access these contacts via CSV file and will need to upload to your own email management system, just like you need to do with the new Lead Ads.

Currently, you can private message new customers individually directly through Facebook.

However, my guess is that at some point, Facebook will begin offering more integrations and direct support for email marketing and e-commerce a.k.a. f-commerce and especially m-commerce (Facebook commerce and mobile commerce).

I set up shop to give it a test drive: got my Relationship Marketing book + a $50 discount coupon off any of my social media/Facebook training courses! Check it out! https://www.facebook.com/commerce/products/1004749182932204/

This feature is likely only rolling out to certain pages -- and possibly only in the U.S. so far. Do you have it yet?

Delighted to be working with The Mediaeval Baebes, securing the Press and PR coverage for their 2015 Sacred Spaces Tour. Music, Dance and Theatre being staged in six of the UK's most magnificent Cathedrals and Churches. What a treat to be part of this musical journey inspired by a time where poetry and music conspired to invoke sensory pleasure.
