Love Not Money

Love Not Money BMX race team founded on passion for the sport. Love Not Money began as a BMX racing team in 2010. Our focus has always been supporting riders.

Originally the goal was to support up and coming racers as they progressed from club level to teams. Since those early days we've grown and become a successful team and mainstay on the British circuit. We created a clothing range to fund the team, that has been sidelined for now.

Race BMXs are on the face of it, specialist things: designed for going as fast as possible around a track. They're still bikes though and the point is, you can do a lot on their small wheels!

Happy 50th birthday to Darren O'Brien!

This great shot by shows DoB on his way to 2nd place in 50+ Cruiser at Cyclopark. In his first year in the new class he's continued his rivalry with rider - always a great battle to watch!

Jacob's dad was on the decks for the weekend, spinning up tracks and Jacob was spinning it up on track - if there's anyone you can count on to give their all, it's Jacob.

This is heartbreakingly true. Although there are times when a stand must be taken and force met with force, the fact remains that lives will be lost.
We long for a time when battles are only in the theatres of sport, where conflict between nations is for pride rather than anything else. A time when the very best of our ingenuity, bravery and resilience is seen shining through in sport, not in war.

Love Not Money - Dirtworks ended the HSBC UK BMX National Series in style: with Nigel's win were excellent performances from the other riders in action in Cumbernauld. Jacob Daniell who improved on his previous best at this level with 7th in the main on Sat followed that with a B Final win on Sunday that came from superb berm moves. Abi Pike was in the thick of the action on 20" and cruiser, on the little bike she placed 3rd and 6th in the B Final over the two rounds, on bigger wheels she made the main both days with 6th (4th in class) on Sat and 3rd (2nd in class) on Sun.
Darren O'Brien was at the front end of intense action in the combined 30-39, 40-44 and 45-49 cruiser classes: as always he makes going fast look effortless. The Redditch radster took 8th and 7th in the main over the two days of racing.
Myles Gault wore the Riders vs Cancer jersey for his battles in Grand Vets, 9th on Sat and 11th on Sun for the Runnymede Rocket.
TM James Tresman doubled up on 20" and cruiser, earning 10th and 11th in Vets and 21st and 20th on the big bike.

Nigel's national:

This is Love Not Money - Dirtworks rider Nigel Smith taking the win in 40-44 Cruiser at round 6 of the HSBC UK BMX National Series in Cumbernauld.

The 30-39, 40-44 & 45-49 classes were combined for racing. Nigel and fellow 40-44 riders Anthony Le Brasse, Mark Steele and Scott Main were in the B Final, meaning the first of them across the line would take the national win in class.

Racing in Bradford Bandits colours, where he is club chair, Nigel powered out of the gate and dominated. Holding off the challenge of Mark Cottrel, the victory was his.

It's Nigel's first national win, one he's worked very hard for and we're all absolutely buzzing!
