Keep your instrument protected post gig! 🥁🎸

With all the post-performance buzz, it can be easy to get swept up in the excitement of a great set. But taking a moment to secure your equipment and pack away your instrument can help keep it safe before you head backstage.

Once you’re in a space where you can safely set down your instrument, it’s worth checking there isn’t any visible damage or missing parts that could have been left on stage.

Taking to the stage this festival season?

Keep your instrument and equipment protected during your gig with these tips:

🎵Use a secure appropriate neck or shoulder strap
🎵Never leave your instrument unattended between sets or during intermissions
🎵Keep an eye on the elements- keep a microfiber cloth at hand to wipe away any rain and keep bin bags handy to cover cases that aren’t under shelter

Taking pictures of your instruments and equipment, including serial numbers and any distinguishing marks, can help make it easier to identify your gear if it is lost or stolen. Leaving tags or stickers on your cases can also help your equipment stand out, especially when other musicians are playing at the same gig.
