We’re pleased to release our second issue of the GUTIC newsletter! As the second semester ends, the second edition for the 2025/26 academic year brings together key insights from across finance, markets, and current affairs. This edition features articles on the Iran War, IPO Markets, and other topics that shaped the semester.

This semester’s Equity Research Reports are now live!

The second issue’s featured report covers Gaztransport & Technigaz (GTT), produced by our Utilities & Energy Team. The U&E Team had successful stock pitched this report in the 2026 Student Managed Investment Funds Stock Pitch Competition as well.

It marks the start of our end of year highlights, including the newsletter and the final annual report set to be posted soon. Our investment analysts have also produced and pitched stock reports across technology, consumer, industrials and multi-sector.

We are excited to welcome Emma Jamieson, Executive Director at Morgan Stanley, for our upcoming Women in Finance Speaker Event in the Boyd Orr Room 507, 17th March @ 6pm.

Emma is Head of Glasgow Asset Servicing within Operations, leading multiple high risk operational functions and managing a team of 45 colleagues, with over 13 years at the firm to bring deep operational expertise and a strong people first leadership approach.

Emma is also an active leader in the Women’s Business Alliance, where she currently serves as Co Chair. Her work focuses on championing and amplifying women’s development and voices, helping build a more inclusive culture across the industry.
