If it's a £20 bet on the Grand National then fine but lenders do not like regular gambling due to affordability now or, in the future.
They will either take it as a regular committment or, decline the application altogether.
I'm begining to see this as a regular occurence and had to recently have a long conversation with a lender's Undwerwriter explaining my client had stopped gambling as they were spending on average £350 per month. Luckily there was a 2 month gap to show the trend had stopped and the UW agreed to allow the application.
