All the dry weather this year has allowed the plants to show their fruits ๐Ÿ‡โ˜€๏ธ

This suggests the plants may be dying, or that we are looking forward to a hard winter.โ„๏ธ

Such a sad sight to see this magnificent old Pinus radiata losing such a huge limb. ๐Ÿ’”๐ŸŒฒ You can really appreciate the age and strength of this beautiful tree when you see the wood exposed. Hopefully it will recover and continue standing for many more years.

Itโ€™s always devastating for us to have to remove so much of our beautiful mature tree. ๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿ’”

This magnificent weeping beach tree with years of character, history and beauty in every limb.

Unfortunately, the extent of the structural damage from the dry weather and massive amount of weight meant that emergency work was unavoidable.

Taking away such substantial parts of a tree is never something we like to do but the aim was to make the tree safe while preserving as much of its remaining structure and shape as possible.

The photographs really show the heartbreaking extent of the decay and structural damage hidden within the tree, highlighting just how serious the situation had become.

A beautiful tree, sadly requiring significant work. Now safe and hopefully going to be standing for a day or two longer. ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ’š

The fruit in the orchard is tasting absolutely amazing at the moment! ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ‘ Judith has also made a beautiful plum cake using some of the delicious produce. Nothing ever goes to waste here โ€” it makes the perfect little snack while out working! ๐Ÿฐ๐ŸŒฟ

The team have been doing an incredible job, taking the water tanker into some very awkward places and definitely putting their driving skills to the test! Their hard work and dedication is making such a difference, ensuring the gardens continue to look their very best despite the challenging conditions. ๐Ÿ’š

Whatโ€™s Been Going On at Haldon Grange? ๐ŸŒฟโ˜€๏ธ

Andrew and Judith have been doing lots and lots of watering to keep all the beautiful plants thriving through the warmer weather. Their hard work is really paying off, and the garden is looking fantastic.

There has also been plenty of tree maintenance taking place to keep the beautiful trees healthy, safe, and looking their very best.

The boys have just finished bailing ๏ฟผ
locally for another year. The equipment was brought out of the shed, and everyone worked incredibly hard to get the job done. A huge well done to everyone involved for another successful baling season!
