Cavity Wall Insulation – Are you entitled to Compensation?
We are a local South Yorkshire firm of Chartered Surveyors and Energy Assessors. In our area of work we have come across a number of properties where Cavity Wall Insulation has been installed and the homeowner has since had problems with damp.
Most retro fit cavity wall insulation causes no problems, but some homeowners have had problems caused by poorly installed insulation and some property types should not be retrofitted with cavity wall insulation at all.
If you have a non-standard construction property this is especially important for you. A non-standard property is a system built property, e.g. Wimpey No Fines or Laing Easy Form, or it could be an older timber frame construction. These property types should normally NEVER be retro fitted with cavity wall insulation.

Morning all. A strange request, but one which I don't have the answer to, as not on a water meter, or water bills using the old Rateable Value method ( we have a borehole), but would anyone be prepared to provide me a copy of their most recent water bill.

We are currently looking at a new product to the market with regards to water savings, and are anxious to provide to potential customers information on the savings, which could be spectacular.

IMPORTANT CLOSING DATE 3 NOVEMBER 2016
The Warm Homes Campaign Award Scheme will provide grants of £500 to enable 40 not-for-profit and statutory organisations based in England, Wales and Northern Ireland with the funds needed to support relevant events and activities taking place during the campaign period. This may include launches of strategies and action plans; energy efficiency awareness days; advice sessions; project visits by VIPs; and other innovative ways of communicating the issues around fuel poverty and energy efficiency locally. Successful organisations will be expected to promote their events to the local media as part of the campaign, as well as engage the support of MPs/Assembly Members and other local elected representatives.

The Warm Homes Campaign is NEA’s annual winter initiative, focusing on the need for people to be able to stay warm in their homes.
