URGENT BRIDGE UPDATE

Just a heads up that Derby City Council will shortly be issuing a media statement regarding Darley Abbey Mills Bridge.
The bridge is now in a critical condition and public safety remains our absolute priority. While the structure has deteriorated over many years, the Council is taking direct action to address the risk and is working hard with partners to bring forward the dismantling and demolition process as quickly as possible.
Additional safety measures, including 24/7 security, are now being put in place to protect the public.
This is a fast-moving situation and we are working in a rapidly changing environment. As soon as we Alison Martin and Martin Repton have further updates, we will share them.
In the meantime, please continue to respect the closure and stay away from the bridge and surrounding watercourse.
Thank you for your continued patience and support.

Hi, I live on Bromley Street and have received some post - looks like a card. It's addressed to a Miss H Brocklehurst with my address. I've lived here for nearly ten years so this must have been misaddressed by the sender. If anyone knows of a Miss H Brocklehurst let me know and I can put through your/her door. Thanks, Rachel

Michelle has asked me to share this information. It's a well-being CIC partly funded by the Council, set up expressly to support local communities.

As someone with mobility issues caused by Fibromyalgia, Sinead is wonderful and shows me how to adapt the movements to suit my limitations.

Does anyone knows Dan Shepard, who used to live at 45 Bromley Street a fair few years back. Somebody has found an old letter of his that looks like a memento that he’d want to keep. If comments below, someone can get it back to him. Thanks
