BENNY UPDATE ⭐️

A little Benny update for everyone checking in on our sweet boy!

Benny has been a touch quieter and a little less energetic than we’d ideally like to see over the last couple of days. He’s still nursing lots and staying close to mom, but because of the way he has to nurse, he burns a little more energy than a normal foal just working to get his milk. On top of that, he’s simply a big growing foal, which means his little body is working overtime right now.

After consulting with our vet team, everyone felt it would be best to introduce a small amount of extra protein in a warm mash form to help give him a little nutritional boost. We’re taking it very slowly so his belly has time to adjust comfortably. We’ve also decided to put him back on some TMS antibiotic as a precaution while we continue monitoring him closely.

Overall, he is still bright in his own Benny way, enjoying being outside with his momma Willa, and getting lots of love and attention from us. Right now it’s just about supporting him, keeping him comfortable, and helping him conserve a bit more energy while he grows. We truly appreciate everyone checking in and cheering this little guy on 🐴
