A rare moment in the supercar world. VVS UK recently had four Lamborghini Murciélagos on the floor simultaneously, covering every major iteration of the model. Not all are still available, but read on for why this model is worth your attention right now.
We recently caught up with our business partners Daniel Parker and Neil Vas, Directors of VVS UK, to talk through why this model is having such a moment right now. The answer comes down to two things: low production numbers across every version, and the fact that the Murciélago was the last Lamborghini to feature a V12 designed entirely in-house, not an Audi-derived unit, despite launching under Audi's ownership. That combination has not gone unnoticed by collectors.
The four cars tell their own story.
The 6.2 VT started the lineage. Rare in its own right, with a recent comparable example selling at £400,000 and a £1m valuation not considered far off for the right car.
The LP640 followed, more refined and equally rare, currently sitting around £400,000 in the market.
Rarer still is the LP640 Manual Roadster at £650,000. Genuinely limited numbers and an OEM retro-fit manual gearbox, making it one of the most sought after Murciélago variants in existence.
And then there is the LP670 SV. Sub-1,000 miles, finished in Giallo Tenerife, one of very few produced in right-hand drive, priced at £1.6m to £2m. In our view, a £5m car within a few years.
