After a long sun filled adventure through France and Spain, we came across some really inspiring people and places that really opened our eyes to benefits of using organic products, something that we didn’t really get back home. Our name comes from dusk and dawn, the times when we are all most likely to get showering! We were really inspired by all the natural ingredients and the benefits they hav
e not only on skin, but the environment too. Our ethos is to produce something, friendly, kind and also good for you! So why is organic better for you? All organic substances in soap are easy on sensitive skin and skin conditions, they don’t cause that “dry” feeling you get after having used mainstream products . Olive oil is one of the main ingredients in our soap and that in its self has a wealth of benefits........
Olive oil acts as an amazing skin moisturizer as it contains Linoleic acid, a compound not produced by the body which prevents water evaporating, therefore locking in moisture to your skin! It contains at least four anti oxidants too which help to neutralize damaging free radicals that can lead to aging of the skin. We use the “cold Process” way of making organic soap, which means the oils we use are never heated above 100 degrees so all the natural goodness isn’t lost or degraded due to overheating. What’s in the regular nasties? Sad but true, most regular soaps contain a large amount of chemicals most of us have never heard of, it’s hard on sensitive skin and skin conditions. Most of them are made with herbicides, chemical fertilizers, pesticides and perfumes; all things that are bad for your environment too! The mainstream soap also removes naturally occurring glycerine and moisture in the skin, leaving it feeling tight and dry.
