Cleckheaton Community Choir This is a choir for anyone aged 16 years upwards who wants to sing in a community choir. You don't h Back in 2001 a choir was created in a school in Cleckheaton.

The students soon became a committed bunch, sharing fantastic experiences with each other and becoming friends. As they left the school they often asked "What happens now?" "What am I going to do without the choir?" At that point there was no solution; no opportunity to continue. But the questions continued, year after year! Circumstances changed and the school closed. At that point, in 2010, the

ideas began to come together that would turn into Cleckheaton Community Choir, and in 2011 the opportunity arose for a venue, financial support and a regular evening when we could meet. We began with just 4 members, but it quickly grew, by word of mouth, until it became the close knit bunch of people that we have today! Choir members will tell you that we are not just a choir! We are a family! We support each other, we laugh with each other, and sometimes we even cry with each other! Most importantly, we sing together! Our members range from teenagers to more senior members of the local community!! We are always looking for new members to join us! We hope that you will! By the way, one of the young ladies who instigated the question about what she should do without the school choir, still sings with the Community Choir!! WE ARE NOW ACCEPTING NEW MEMBERS - WE ARE CURRENTLY ASKING THAT LATERAL FLOW TESTS ARE DONE BEFORE REHEARSAL. WE ARE OPEN TO LADIES AND GENTLEMEN AND, AS ALWAYS, DO NOT REQUIRE YOU TO AUDITION. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO TRY THE CHOIR OR ARE ALREADY LOOKING TO JOIN US, PLEASE DROP US A MESSAGE AND COME ALONG TO REHEARSALS ON TUESDAY EVENINGS .

And that's that for 2025! So good to see so many at St. Luke's church for the community carol service. We're taking a well-earned rest now but we'll be back in the New Year with another great programme of music. Thank you to all our followers and supporters - we really appreciate you! See you next year when we'll be celebrating the world of film music!
