Just a quick post to let you know that I’ve decided to fundraise for Alzheimer's Society, and I’d really appreciate your support.
My Mum Carole developed Alzheimer’s devastatingly quickly in her late 70s, and is now sadly beyond both conversation and self-care. Less than two years ago she was living independently in her own home, welcoming visits from her family and spending meaningful time with her many children and grandchildren.

Gill and I are choosing to trek for Alzheimer's Society, across 13miles of the beautiful Cotswolds, on July 11th 2026.

Please remember that the next scheduled Judo Classes at the Club are not until 8th and 10th June.

However we will have a Seniors (12yrs +) Randori night on Wednesday 3rd June from 7 to 8.30pm

Another fab day of Competition at our favourite venue, Samurai Judo Club, on Saturday 9th May, for the Boys Orange and Under Championships.
Congratulations to our Junior players, all of whom displayed courage, skill, determination and fighting spirit.

Great action and brave performances from CJC players over the last two weekends at the Dragon Academy events in Cardiff. Abel Riley and Will Parry in the Seniors (Kyu Grades), followed by Patryk Buda, Neo Mercer, Otis Ladwa, Harry Fletcher and Mila Vukelic amongst the medals in the Juniors Orange and Under Competition.

Well done to the players and to the Parents for making the trip, especially those who had the early weigh-in!

CJC - Open Randori Night CONFIRMED (Wed 8th April)

The Easter Break officially runs until Monday 13th April (first session of Term 2, 2026)

There is a Senior Competition on 11th April in Cardiff, and a Junior version on 19th April.
(Still open for entries BTW - see previous and future emails)
Also Dan Gradings in this period.

Even if not competing, I know that some of you would appreciate an additional Randori/training session before the official end of the Easter Break.

Wednesday 8th April.
90min session : 6.30-8pm

Cirencester (Freedom) Leisure Centre, Tetbury Rd, Cirencester GL7 1UP

It is a FREE session for ALL CJC Players, and a nominal £3 mat fee for a member of any other Club.

A great weekend of action this weekend at the Samurai Kidderminster Junior Green and Under events, and the Senior Ladies Kyu grades today. Congratulations to all of our players who showed great skill, resilience and determination in winning their medals. Oh and Stew McIntyre - Ref Extraordinaire!
They are all allowed to have a break now for Easter!

Solid performances from the Riley Brothers today at Kidderminster Kyu Grades. Abel in the u73s and Joseph is the u81s - both Silver medalists having won more than they lost. Well done lads!!
