🌟 Weekly Spotlight: Ryan from RCB Window Cleaning Services 🌟

This morning at BNI Prince Imperial, we had a brilliant 8-minute presentation from Vincent Curry of Receipts & Rewards 📱🎯

Vincent spoke about how businesses can use digital loyalty solutions to strengthen relationships with existing customers and encourage repeat business, all without customers needing to hand over lots of personal data. A simple QR code system allows customers to collect loyalty rewards quickly and easily, while keeping privacy front and centre 🔒

Some really interesting statistics shared this morning:

📊 It can be 5–25x more expensive to win a new customer than retain an existing one📊 Businesses have a 60–70% chance of selling to an existing customer, compared to a much lower chance with brand new customers📊 Customers will often actively change their spending habits to maximise loyalty rewards and benefits

Vincent also demonstrated how businesses can:✅ Send offers, vouchers and messages directly to loyal customers✅ Reward people who refer their business✅ Encourage more Google reviews through automated review requests✅ Even fully white-label the platform with their own branding and App Store presence 📲

The platform is ideal for businesses such as:☕ Coffee shops💇 Hairdressers & beauty salons🛍️ Small retailers🏪 Wholesalers supplying hospitality businesses

🏡 A brilliant 8-minute presentation on Friday from Richard Bould at Jennings and Barrett.

Most people in BNI know Richard and the team for their hugely successful Block & Estate Management division, which has helped make Richard a multi-million pound giver within BNI 👏

But this week, the focus was on their Property Sales service… and some of the stats genuinely made the room sit up and listen 👀

📈 Properties sold with J&B are typically on the market for just 68 days
📉 by comparison local average with competitors is 201 days

💷 Average asking price achieved: 101%
✅ Less than 2% fall-through rate

Richard also explained how Jennings & Barrett have adapted with the times, moving beyond traditional platforms like Rightmove and embracing video-based social media marketing to help properties stand out and reach the right buyers faster 🎥📱

It’s clear that combining modern marketing techniques with strong local knowledge and a proactive team is delivering some seriously impressive results.

Great to hear from Filip at Silver Frog Property this morning 👏

In his 8-minute presentation, Filip gave us a behind-the-scenes look at one of his recent development projects in SE6 🏡 and it was a brilliant example of turning problems into profit.

This wasn’t a straightforward job… far from it:
⚠️ A tricky flying freehold
⚠️ Issues with rising damp
⚠️ An illegal rear extension
⚠️ Planning use complications

Plenty there to put most people off… but not Filip 💪

Through clever thinking and a strategic redesign, he transformed the property into a studio flat + a small HMO, unlocking far greater value than the original layout 💡

It’s a great reminder that with the right expertise, even the most challenging properties can become real opportunities.

Great energy in the room yesterday morning from Carl at Urban Body Repairs 👏🚗

Carl gave us a really engaging 8-minute presentation, sharing his journey in the motor trade spanning over 20 years since leaving school. It’s clear this is a business built on experience, craftsmanship, and pride in the work.

Based in Dartford, Urban Body Repairs are a family-run vehicle body repair specialist, and the photos Carl shared of their setup were seriously impressive. Their workshop is fully equipped to handle everything from standard cars right through to larger vehicles like horseboxes 🐎🚛

Their core services include:
🔧 Bodywork repairs – from minor bumps to more serious accident damage
💡 Headlight refurbishment – bringing tired lights back to life
🛞 Alloy wheel refurbishment – restoring wheels to a premium finish

This morning at BNI Prince Imperial, we heard from Steve Bassi of Croner Employment and Health & Safety, who delivered a really insightful 8-minute presentation 👏

With so many of our members being employers, Steve focused on what is being described as the biggest change in employment law in a generation… the new Employment Rights Bill ⚖️

He broke down some of the key updates, including:

✅ The introduction of the Fair Working Agency
✅ Changes to Statutory Sick Pay
✅ Extended time limits for Employment Tribunals
✅ Tightening of tipping laws
✅ Greater access to trade unions
✅ And reduced qualifying periods for unfair dismissal claims

Safe to say, there’s a lot for business owners to get their heads around, and having the right support in place has never been more important.

Steve also took questions from the room and it was great to hear several members share positive experiences of working with him and Croner 🙌

🌟 Member Spotlight: Kevin Horsefield – Marbles Ltd 🌟

This week at BNI Prince Imperial, we enjoyed a fascinating presentation from Kevin Horsefield of Marbles Ltd, a Bromley-based, family-run business with more than 35 years of experience crafting beautiful marble and stone surfaces.

Kevin shared the story behind the company, including how the business began with the founder’s family and has grown steadily over the decades into the highly skilled operation it is today. It was a great reminder that some of the strongest businesses are built on family values, dedication and craftsmanship. 🏡

One of the most interesting parts of the presentation was seeing the full journey of creating a marble kitchen. From the initial drawings and design stage, through precision manufacturing, and finally to installation in the customer’s home, Kevin walked us through every step of the process.

What really stood out was the team behind the work. Kevin highlighted a number of the talented people involved at each stage, giving us a real insight into the skill, care and collaboration required to bring these stunning projects to life. 👷‍♂️✨

Marbles Ltd is a fantastic example of a local business built on experience, teamwork and pride in quality, delivering exceptional results for homeowners looking to transform their kitchens and living spaces.

✨ Weekly Member Spotlight – Mary & Mick, Mary and Mick Design ✨🎨

What a brilliant presentation this week from duo Mary and Mick of Mary & Mick Design.

We were treated not only to a glimpse into how they make business and life work seamlessly together behind the scenes, but also to a masterclass in branding and graphic design. 👏

Their case study on Detail, a local shutter company, gave us real insight into their development process. From concept to ex*****on, we saw how thoughtful, strategic design can sharpen a brand’s positioning and elevate how it’s perceived in the marketplace.

They then showcased the transformation of fellow member Kathy Ines’ business, Back your Body. The before and after comparison was striking. What was once slightly uncertain in its identity is now bold, clear and confidently defined. A perfect example of how strong branding supports business growth. 💪

And then came one of the quirkiest local projects we’ve seen… their work at the The Growler Stop 🍻

A fantastic example of how creative flair and personality can completely transform a space and create a memorable customer experience.
