Bank of England have reduced base rate by 0.25% so now down to 4.25% 🥳

Mortgage rates have been reflecting this anticipated reduction in the last couple of weeks with rate reductions across the board. Long may it continue 🤞

Rates have been coming down steadily over the last 4 weeks 🥳 I follow the swap rates which is a major factor in how banks work out what rates to offer to customers.

Expectancy is that when Bank of England meet next Thursday 8th May that they will reduce base rate. This is hopefully another positive sign that rates will continue to come down.

I wanted to end January by saying thank you to all the clients who have chosen me to look after their mortgage ❤️

The first month of 2025 has been a busy one, with me securing 2.9 million pounds worth of borrowing for my clients 🫶

Below is only part of a google review a client has left for me, honestly the kind words does not go unnoticed. The fact I could help this client when they felt they had ran out of options and take the burden off them is what makes me love my job even more.

WOW WOW WOW - what a first week back in work and the start of 2025 🥳🫶

7 mortgage applications submitted this week for my lovely clients - 4 of which went to offer within 24hrs 😍 (to put the above into perspective when times were tough in the mortgage world some months in 2023 I only did 5 applications - in the whole month)

Lots of conversations with first time buyers to help them know what price range to put into their rightmove search 🏡

Existing clients looking for new mortgage deals, securing deals now and arranging to review their deal again if rates come down between now and completion 🤞

I couldn’t have asked for a better start to 2025!

If anyone is toying with the idea of moving, has a mortgage deal coming to an end before end of June or are looking to take the first step on the property ladder - drop me a message!
