We got the keys yesterday, a big thank you to Martin Byrne for your advic
e and sticking with us all these years with our adverse credit when all the others said it cant be done, choosing the right time to put forward the mortgage application and giving us the best available deal. Cant thank enough for all your help and support.

Some common misconceptions about getting a mortgage and / or mortgage advice:

1. I have adverse credit, therefore I can’t get a mortgage: WRONG!: with specialist advice a mortgage application can often be approved or a plan put in place to improve things to make it happen

2. Guy down the pub said….. ignore him!!! As advisors we spend many years getting qualified and 5 pints of lager doesn’t make you an expert!!! Trust us

3. Someone else got a mortgage or didn’t get a mortgage because of…… and I m similar: again ignore this. Everyone’s situation is slightly different and this industry is not black and white.

4. I have just started a new job and don’t have 6 months payslips: not a problem!

5. I applied direct or through my bank and was declined: not a problem, we have dozens of lenders we deal with daily and who may consider you and let’s be fair the Banks are pretty useless

This was announced yesterday. Backs up what I have been telling people for the last 6/9 months. Rates are unpredictable. If you have a fixed rate mortgage that finishes in next 6 or so months get in touch NOW! What we do is get you fixed on a rate to start at the end of your current deal. That locks you in so you know the worst case scenario. If rates drop then before the new deal starts we switch you again to the lower rate. Win win situation. Have many clients I have done this for lately and they are very grateful! Don’t like to say “ I told them so” but I did and I was right!!! Drop me a DM if this is your situation
