Provide a forum to bring retail tenants and businesses together to discuss and resolve issues within the City of Cambridge and beyond where necessary. Speak as one voice on a non-prescriptive range of issues relating to different groups which will include: the landlords, colleges, the City Council, Love Cambridge, the County Council or other group or matter as ide

ntified by members and to the mutual benefit of members. Market and promote the profile of the independent businesses as a key destination for visitors to the City. Articulate the Independents’ views to Love Cambridge through the Independent Director representative on the organisation’s board.

U.K. consumer confidence unexpectedly increased to an 18-month high in November as Britons become more optimistic about the economy and their finances, GfK NOP Ltd. said.

Mal (cafe on the round) and Vanessa (Catherine Jones) are looking to get some music happening at the Round Church, with samples of food from Mal and cheese from the cheese shop, possibly wine from the wine shop.

Michelle (Cuckoo Clothing) - goodie bags for all who spend £50 or over during Independents week and can offer homemade " cuckoo cupcakes " and refreshments for independents day.

Matt (Cambridge Wine Merchants) - "Independents Wine Tasting" i.e. small independent producers v. the bigger conglomerates' wines on 4th july @ 8pm in Mill Road store.

Michael (Grafton Centre) - hosting an event on the 4th July in Great Court promoting both the twelve independent business's in The Grafton and also a number of businesses located on both Fitzroy and Burleigh Streets.

Pippa (Bo***ir Femme) - are celebrating their 6th birthday this week, open late until 7.30pm on Wednesday 4th July and are having a party in store on Saturday 7th July, 10am-5pm, with live music, champagne and birthday cake galore... Besides, there will be also on SALE with up to 50% OFF their summer collections. They are offering every customer 600 loyalty points when spending £60 and signing up to their loyalty scheme throughout the week.
