✨👏🎪 And that's a wrap...🎪👏✨️

We've caught our breath and have quickly totted up the totals...with your help, we raised c.£3k!!! All of which will be donated back into local causes based on applications.

We want to say a huge thank you and a massive round of applause to everyone single one of you who has supported us in the lead up to and by attending the Revels events this weekend.

Special mention to all that attended events, put up posters and bunting on their properties, brought raffle tickets, donated raffle prizes, the stallholders, the food vendors and most importantly our army of super volunteers!

Revels really is a community effort and we literally couldn't do any of this without the help and support of so many wonderful people!

There are are far too many people to name and we would hate to miss anyone...you all know who you are!

Huge heartfelt thank you's go to all of our volunteers, including:

🚙 Don't forget to join us for the traditional Classic Car Parade, leaving Bargates at 11.45am arriving at the Rec at 12pm 🚙

To all those who generously offer their vehicles, drive in the parade, marshal the traffic and come to cheer us on, thank you for being our awesome opening act!!

Our traditional village parade marks the start of Box Revels Day Fete, starting from Bargates Green at 11.45am and travelling down the High Street to finish up on the Rec ready for Revels Day to start at 12.00. (We recommend finding your spot on the route from 11.30 onwards so you don't miss any of the action!) The parade includes a wide variety of modern and classic vehicles.

🎪🥳🎪 It's time to Revel...and it's all go down on The Rec 🎪🥳🎪

👀 We can't wait to see you all today ☀️

📣 Over 40 stalls, food and refreshment vendors, games and fairground attractions and lots of live entertainment 📣

🚗 Parking will be available at Selwyn Hall car park (SN13 8NT) from 11am, parking attendants will greet you and guide you to available spaces. Entry via Valens Terrace. (£2.50 per car)

🛻 11.45am - Box Revels Parade (starting from Bargates Green, travelling along the High Street to finish at the Rec)
🎉 12.00pm - Box Revels Fete opens
👗 12.00pm - Pre-loved Clothes Sale opens
🥁 12.30pm - Drumming Workshops (tennis courts)
💃🏽 1.30pm - Stage Door School of Dance
🪄 2.15pm - Dave Hickory Magic Show
🎫 4.00pm - Raffle prize draw and prize giving
➰️ 4.30pm - Children's tug of war

🖼 All Day - 100 years of The Rec photo memory boards and Box Quiz, visit the special Box Rec stall throughout the day

👗 Pre-Loved clothes and accessories sales will run throughout the day and can be found near the tennis courts

🎈SURPRISE EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT - TONIGHT, 24th MAY 🎈

As part of Box’s 100 Year Celebrations, we’re thrilled to announce a very special surprise event at The Rec…TONIGHT!

✨ HOT AIR BALLOONS will be launching from the bottom field! ✨

We’ve kept this under wraps until now while we waited to confirm that weather conditions would allow for a safe launch, and we’re delighted that things are looking good!

📍 The Rec, Box
🕕 Balloons arrive from 6pm
🎈 Planned launch at 6.30pm to 7pm

A few important reminders for everyone attending:
• Please stay on the top field / embankment and do not approach the balloons
• Follow all instructions from the ground crew and organisers
• Please walk down to The Rec rather than drive, as car park access will be very limited for the support vehicles only

Bring your cameras, your picnic blankets, and your best excited faces! It's going to be epic!

🐾 Important Update Regarding the Cancellation of the Novelty Dog Show 🐾

As the temperature has been rising over the weekend, we have been diligently monitoring the conditions, particularly the temperature under the shaded area where the dog show would be held. Something we could only do once the temperatures were similar to Monday's.

After consideration and conversation with the Dog Show organiser, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the dog show. While we know many of you were looking forward to the event, we feel that the conditions could become unsafe for the dogs, handlers, and visitors attending.

The safety and wellbeing of everyone involved, especially our four-legged friends, will always be our top priority.

Thank you all for your understanding and continued support. ❤️
