BTV- 3 Meeting tomorrow night 7pm at Wigtownshire Rugby Club, Everyone Welcome!

NFU Scotland is supporting members through the developing BTV-3 situation by providing the latest updates, practical guidance and strong representation. We continue to engage with government and industry partners, pressing for measures that help farmers manage risk and maintain business confidence, including improved vaccine availability.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at Cressfield Hotel, Ecclefechan, last night. Around 120 people attended, underlining the significance of the developing BTV-3 situation and the need for farmers to stay up to date on the latest information and restrictions.

Not a member? These local Bluetongue meetings are an opportunity to hear directly from NFU Scotland, local auctioneers and veterinary practices on what the current restrictions mean for your business and what happens next. You'll also be able to find out more about the advice, support and representation available through NFU Scotland membership.

With the BTV-3 situation continuing to develop and a Temporary Control Zone now in place across Dumfries & Galloway and South Ayrshire we will share the latest information, explain what it means for your business, outline what we are pressing for and answer questions from attendees.

What a great day we had at Stranraer Show at the end of July 🚜🐄🐑🐎

It was great catching up with familiar faces and meeting plenty of new ones too 😊

Thanks to everyone who stopped by our stand to say hello.
We really appreciate the support and are already looking forward to next year's show!

It was also a great day for some of our team who were competing at the show 👇🏼

🏆Devon, one of our Partners Assistants, had a great day with her Pedigree Saler heifer, Rednock Carla. They won the Continental heifer in-calf or in milk class and went onto be Reserve Champion Continental Female

🏆Devon’s daughter, Quinn, also had a great day showing her calf, Norwoodbrae Dreambig Lila Z. Quinn and Lila Z won the Holstein heifer calf class and went onto be Reserve Champion Youngstock in the Holstein section 🐄

A huge well done to everyone involved. It was a successful day all round 🎉

As part of NFU Mutual's Agency Giving Fund, which forms part of our £4 million Charitable Giving Programme for 2026, £2.33 million has been allocated to the Agency Giving Fund to support local, frontline causes that make a real difference every day

This means that each NFU Mutual agency has the chance to nominate one local charity to receive a donation of £7,899.

This year, we are delighted to announce our Ayr office chose to donate to Lochlan’s Legacy 🩵

Devon met up with Lochlan and Lesley from the charity to present them with their cheque.
