I spent 2 weeks walking around Lyon, visiting 50+ restaurants.
Not as a customer. As someone building a restaurant platform.
I asked owners the same question everywhere:
"What's your biggest frustration with your POS system?"
Here's what broke my heart. 👇
90% of owners gave me the SAME answer:
"The monthly fees. They're killing us."
But here's the kicker...
They'd follow it up with:
"But what can I do? Everyone charges monthly fees. It's just how it is."
That resignation. That acceptance.
Like they'd just... given up fighting it.
One owner in Croix-Rousse told me:
"I pay €340/month for my POS. That's €4,000/year. Do you know what I could do with €4,000?"
