🇪🇸 Ever wondered why some Spanish number plates are green, blue, red… or even crimson?

👉🏼 Most vehicles in Spain use the standard white plate with black lettering, but there are several other plate types on Spanish roads... and each one tells a different story.

🟢 Green plates
Often used as temporary import plates, commonly known as placas verdes, while a foreign vehicle is being registered in Spain.

🔵 Blue rear plates
Usually seen on licensed taxis, private hire vehicles and cars hired with a driver.

🔴 Red plates
Can be used for trade vehicles, diplomatic vehicles or larger trailers, depending on the lettering and format.

🚜 White plates with red lettering
