Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Job Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key leadership role responsible for driving the organization’s overall financial strategy, ensuring strong financial health, and optimizing capital structure. The role focuses on directing financial planning, risk management, liquidity strategies, and fundraising initiatives to support business operations and sustainable growth. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with deep expertise in financial governance, compliance, and team oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Planning and Strategy:
• Drive the company’s financial planning and long-term financial strategies.
• Prepare reliable current financial reports and accurate future forecasting models.
2. Risk Management and Liquidity:
• Perform risk management by analyzing the organization’s liabilities and investments.
• Decide on investment strategies by evaluating cash flow, liquidity risks, and operational needs.
• Ensure cash flow is stable and continuously support day-to-day operations.
3. Capital Structure and Fundraising:
• Control and evaluate the organization’s fundraising plans and capital structure.
• Manage strategic relationships with vendors, external partners, and financial institutions.
4. Team Supervision and Governance:
• Supervise and lead all finance personnel, including financial controllers and financial analysts.
• Set up, maintain, and oversee the company’s finance IT systems and software.
• Ensure strict compliance with financial laws, regulatory standards, and internal policies.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or MBA is highly preferred.
• Certification: Professional financial certification such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is a strong plus.
• Experience:
o Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting.
o Significant experience in senior financial leadership roles (such as CFO, Finance Director, or Head of Finance).
o Deep experience in corporate finance, financial analysis, risk management, capital structure, and fundraising.
o Proven track record in leading finance teams and overseeing finance IT systems.
o FinTech industry background is preferable.
Required Skills and Competencies:
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of corporate finance principles, cash flow management, risk frameworks, and finance IT tools/software.
• Integrity and Ethics: High level of professional integrity, confidentiality, and sound ethical judgment.
• Strategic Leadership: Exceptional leadership, team management, and strategic decision-making capabilities.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial reports to senior stakeholders and board members.
• Proactive and Analytical: Highly analytical thinker, proactive problem-solver, and adept at managing financial risks in a fast-paced environment.
