Statement from VP Abdelbagi’s Office on lifting of Covid-19 partial lockdown

“After a thorough consultation with stakeholders, it gives me a great pleasure to announce lifting of the COVID-19 partial lockdown that its effectiveness expired on 4th April 2021, following a decrease in Covid-19 infection rate as the National Laboratory announced 16 positive cases for the last 24hrs, a number of infections greater than previous days.
Therefore, I am urging the public to strictly follow the Country's COVID-19 guidelines to tame further spreading of the virus.”
