🟡 Our KYC Cluster Prague team recently came together for a networking breakfast at to explore how AI is shaping our daily work.

One of the highlights was a session showcasing innovative AI agents designed to orchestrate the entire development cycle - from business analysis and requirement refinement to backend and frontend development, including test coverage. The process concludes with a prepared pull request and a clear summary of changes, ensuring that human oversight remains at the core while efficiency gets a boost.

🚀 When you give young talent space to experiment, the results can truly surprise you!

At Commerzbank Digital Technology Center Prague, we have just completed the first phase of the 4th edition of our program.

The program combines understanding how our organization works with hands-on experience - starting from knowledge sharing and building foundations, and quickly moving into teamwork, where students design and develop their own technical solutions. This approach has already been recognized externally, with awards from Business for Society and the Diamond Award from .

🟡 One of this year’s standout projects? An AI-powered matching tool inspired by swipe-based logic known from - a fresh take on how technology can support recruitment in a more intuitive and engaging way.

💛 At , we know that great projects with happy endings start with happy, healthy people!

it’s the foundation for thriving teams, strong collaboration, and sustainable success. That’s why yesterday, together with , we hosted across DTC Prague and the Prague Branch, dedicated to raising awareness, providing support, and empowering our colleagues to take care of themselves and each other.

The day included expert-led lectures on topics like managing stress and recognizing challenges. In addition, individual consultations provided a safe space for employees to discuss their personal needs.

This time Mentoring Czech Republic is pleased to showcase mentee in our program - Alisa Berilschild, CMSA!

📌 Why did you decide to join BigUp Mentoring as a mentee?

I was very happy to learn that has a mentoring program. I decided to apply once I felt my experience at CoBa was sufficient. I had previously taken part in an external mentoring program, but it wasn’t very effective for me, as I have quite specific needs typical for women in the banking industry. My motivation was to have an independent, experienced person who understands corporate culture and is willing to listen and share their perspective.


📌 Can you describe how is your mentor-mentee relationship built?

The simple fact that someone is there for you already makes the relationship very valuable. For me, our sessions are like a space to pause, reflect, and think about the direction for the next month. We are both very structured in our approach and understand each other well. My mentor has put a lot of effort into developing from a logic-focused expert into a manager with strong soft skills - something I’d also like to achieve.


📌 Would you recommend other colleagues to join BigUp Mentoring?

Yes, especially to those who feel they are missing specific support and need an independent perspective on their development path. It’s a great way to grow as a specialist. Your experience may feel unique, but when you share it, you realize others have faced similar challenges - and sometimes found even better solutions.

👨🏼‍💻 The first step into the world of tech starts here, at !

This month, we officially kicked off the May edition of the program for High Schools at Digital Technology Center Prague, welcoming 12 talented students to their first hands-on experience in IT.

After an official welcome, students received their laptops and are now ready to begin their journey! Over the next two weeks, they’ll work in teams on their own projects - designing solutions, collaborating, and preparing to present their ideas in English. It’s all about learning by doing, building confidence, and discovering what working in tech really looks like.

🟡 During his recent visit to , we had the pleasure of speaking with Markus Kroeger, CEO of Commerzbank Digital Technology Centre Bulgaria, who shared his insights on the evolution and future of the DTCs.

🎤 „I started in 2014, working on the initial concept and vision for the Technology Centers. I then had the opportunity to put these plans into practice, beginning with Prague as a separate legal entity, and later expanding to Łódź and now Sofia. More to come!

What inspires me most about my job is the combination of meaningful impact, constant learning, and working with engaged colleagues who share the ambition to move things forward.

When it comes to my vision for the DTCs and two Branches, I’d like to see them evolve into a truly networked organization: locally empowered but globally connected. By leveraging each other’s strengths, we can deliver better, faster, and more consistently across all markets to our customers.”

🟡 We had the pleasure of speaking with Tatjana Breitkreuz, Product Owner in the Cluster KYC, who shared her journey and perspectives during her visit to DTC Prague.

🎤 “I have been working at Commerzbank for over 20 years. I started as a trainee in Software Engineering at Dresdner Bank and worked for several years as a Java Software Developer. After that, I took on roles as a Project Manager and Business Analyst, and since 2024, I’ve been a Product Owner in the Cluster Know (Y)our Customer.

The most inspiring aspect of my work is collaborating with stakeholders and colleagues worldwide. Their diverse perspectives help shape workflows that meet regulatory requirements while creating user-friendly tools that support daily tasks. Additionally, I love working with my Prague team, who consistently bring creative solutions to new business challenges.

Reflecting on my time at DTC Prague, what stands out most is its vibrant community and inspiring environment. Commerzbank DTC Prague offers an amazing opportunity to work with young, talented people in a beautifully designed office.
