1. Residency Based on Property Ownership:
Individuals who hold an official property title deed are granted a 5-year residence permit without the need to present proof of income.
2. Residency with a Purchase Agreement (Without Final Title Deed):
Individuals with a property purchase agreement can:
• Obtain a 90-day visa (with a contract approved by the Tax Office, not necessarily notarized).
• Receive a 2-year residence permit upon submission of the purchase contract.
• With the approval of the Council of Ministers, the permit can be extended to 5 years, also without income proof.
3. Students Under 18:
They are not required to obtain a residence permit, and amnesty has been granted for those previously residing without legal status.
4. Marriage to a TRNC (KKTC) Citizen:
In such cases, the new requirement for obtaining residency is having a legal residence status in the country.
5. Short-Term Residency:
The duration of the first permit is 1 year, and 2 years for subsequent renewals.
6. Benefits for Property Owners Over 60:
Foreign property owners aged over 60 are eligible for health insurance benefits. The mandatory health check period has been extended to 5 years, and private hospitals are now included under this provision.
