A. CURRENT AND SAVING ACCOUNTS
PRIMA provides various forms of current and savings accounts which are designed according to customer needs or goals. These accounts serve individuals as well as companies, organizations, associations, schools, churches, etc. -eac
h account type has specific benefits and requirements that the customer has to fulfill. We have the following account options: -
1. CORPORATE CURRENT ACCOUNTS (CCA)
Corporate Current Accounts (CCA) serve organizations that need to make frequent deposits, withdrawals and bank transfers. CCA account holders can access their account at any time to make deposits or withdrawals with a daily interest on the available balance in their accounts.
2. INDIVIDUAL CURRENT ACCOUNTS (ICA)
Individual Current Account holders can make deposits and withdrawals at any time earning a daily interest on the available balance in their accounts. Bank to Bank Transfers are also possible for a minimal fee.
3. TARGET SAVINGS ACCOUNTS (TSA)
A target savings accounts helps individuals who have a specific goal in mind. The target can be a monetary sum for a stated purpose e.g. save 2,000,00 FCFA to acquire a piece of land or time-based e.g. Yearly savings. Target savings accounts can be used by parents who want to save money for their children towards education or even towards building a house. TSAs can also be used by employers, trade masters, or apprenticeships to save money towards employee or apprentice settlement. Clients meet with one of our financial advisors and discuss their saving goals. TSAs earn a higher interest rate on daily savings compared to CCAs and ICAs.
4. FIXED DEPOSIT ACCOUNTS (FDA)
Fixed deposit accounts help individual or businesses keep their money securely while earning interest over an agreed period of time. The customer agrees to invest a fixed sum of money over an agreed period of time and interest rate. At the end of the agreed time, the customer can decide to withdraw the entire sum(principal) deposited including the accrued interest or withdraw the interest alone and the principal investment rolled over for another period. This online tool will be the antidote for the current problem of cash availability in Cameroon. Customers with accounts will have access to barcodes that can be scanned with the Prima mobile app to pay for services such as taxi fares, restaurant bills, electricity bills and all services that require cash in Cameroon.
