Highlights from CAPDCOOP's First Cohort Meeting.

CAPDCOOP held its first cohort meeting today Thursday the 16th of July 2026 for its first 25 financially aided members, under the theme "Growing Together and Building Strong Businesses through CAPDCOOP." The gathering brought together members with one shared purpose to learn, connect, and build businesses that thrive.

The meeting began with an opening prayer, followed by a series of practical training sessions on CAPDCOOP's products, business growth strategies, and the Cooperative's future plans. Members also gained a deeper understanding of CAPDCOOP's vision and how they can benefit beyond financial support.

One of the key discussions focused on what sets CAPDCOOP apart. We are more than a Cooperative that provides access to finance. We are out to equip entrepreneurs with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed, encouraging consistent savings, helping members build wealth, and creating a strong community where business owners learn and grow together.

Participants also received practical training on common mistakes that hold many small businesses back, like poor record keeping, mixing personal and business finances, failing to save, inadequate planning, and neglecting marketing. This session also highlighted the pillars of sustainable business growth: keeping accurate records, managing expenses wisely, saving consistently, and treating every customer with excellence—because every customer is valuable.

To encourage accountability and continuous improvement, CAPDCOOP introduced a 30-Day Business Growth Challenge, where members are encouraged to record their daily sales, track every expense, and develop a consistent saving habit.

As the meeting ended, CAPDCOOP reaffirmed its commitment to standing with its members every step of the way, through training, financing, mentorship, and continuous support. Together, we are building stronger businesses, creating opportunities, and growing as one community.
