So incredibly proud of .mcdill for crushing her cross country race today! I can’t wait to see how she grows as an athlete! Her resilience through running has been inspiring. While I’m not a great running partner, we found ways to train together and will continue to do so.

Yesterday was a milestone birthday. To say I’m where I envisioned my life right now would be an under statement.

As chapters close, new ones begin.

I’m grateful for the life I’ve lived and I’m looking forward to the life I will live. Through ups and downs. success and failures. My life is full of learning and growing.

In the eyes of my 8 year old: mom is fun, kind, loving, helpful, nice, and caring.

In the eyes of me: I love my family, math and mortgages. I’m hardworking and a dreamer. My favorite color is orange. NYC is my favorite place on earth and gosh do I enjoy reality tv.

J has been prepping so hard for her first market. It’s a market only for kid entrepreneurs (ages 8-12) She decided she would make and sell her dog cookies. With the help of Grammy and her mom she made batches of cookies. Packaged them all and even had time for her ctv interview.

The market was great experience! Seeing J so proud to talk about her product. Memorizing the recipe. Working on her math to give out change. Smiling and just so happy. Having some special customers who travelled from Surrey BC, Burgis Beach SK, Windsor Park and St Norbert were her favorite part of the day!

She treated herself to a giant octopus stuffy at the end of her hard work. Tonight she figured out what her revenue and expenses were. Finally getting to that fun number! Profit!

Mom and Grammy gave her a small loan to buy her start up supplies. Grandma gave her a lesson on finances. She knew first things first she needed to pay back her mom and Grammy. Once that was done the rest was hers! My heart fluttered when she decided some would be saved, some would be for more cookies and her 10.00 tip she got was going all to candy! My heart grew two sizes larger when she said she wanted to use some of her profits to buy kids food and toys that couldn’t afford too.

I always felt an entrepreneurial spirit as a kid. I would have never expected I’d make it a reality. There are ups and downs and good decisions and bad. If im not learning im not growing. Even when these lessons are extremely hard. As I watched my daughter tonight I saw that entrepreneurial spirit in her.

I dream of great things for her. Learning how to deal with the ups and downs. To make more good decisions than bad. Chase after your dreams J!

Mackenzie texted me today saying it was a filming day. I’m not gonna lie I panicked. My hair wasn’t done and I’m wearing my usual Beth uniform of a baggy tee and leggings.

My confidence level hasn’t been at a high. Couple of months ago I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder. Relief to know what has been going on with me however side effects are new medications, feeling “thicker” than usual and thinning hair. The idea of filming or photos scares me.

However as I was watching our replays of the videos all I could think was what great content we were putting out there! So my outfit wasn’t the most flattering and I’m wearing a ball cap. The outfit is me. I’ll wear black and Lululemon whenever I can. I’ll also wear a hat whenever I can.

So why not just put out excellent content while looking just like me! Yah getting dressed up is fun. But this is every day Beth. You’re getting to see and know the real me. ❤️

Comfy clothes + baseball hats + mortgage knowledge = Beth
