The 100 Women Who Care Victoria committee was thrilled to present a cheque for $33,500.00 to Wear 2 Start, an incredible local organization supporting women as they move toward employment, independence and new opportunities.

Thank you to all of our members whose generosity makes moments like this possible. Your collective giving is creating meaningful change for women in our community.

We’re proud to support organizations like Wear 2 Start and the important work they do across Greater Victoria, and look forward to the CHEK News story focusing on the great work Wear 2 Starts supports.

At our May, 100+ Women Who Care Victoria gathering, Power To Be was selected as the recipient charity.

Today, committee members - Janice, Kathleen, Neice and Anne -
we were proud to present our collective donation of $32,500.00 to Power To Be—an organization that empowers people living with barriers and disabilities to experience the transformative power of nature.

Every member’s contribution adds up to create meaningful change in the community. We’re grateful to everyone who attended the May meeting, voted, and made this gift possible.

Congratulations to Power To Be, and thank you for the incredible work you do to inspire confidence, build belonging, and create life-changing outdoor experiences. The membership looks forward to hearing from you at the Summer Impact Meeting on August 12th.

Together, we are proving that when women come together, we make a lasting impact. 💚

While the May votes were being tallied, we heard from Gaelle Van Erp, the director of Marketing and Communications for the Victoria Hospitals Foundation. The Foundation was the recipient of the fall meeting, having been nominated by Charlene Smith. Listen to some of the amazing things we learned about how the Davinci Robot is supporting Women's Health in Greater Victoria!

At the May ‘Giving Into Spring’ Meeting, we heard from three wonderful charities with speakers who presented their charity of choice to the crowd. One of those charities was Luther Court Society, and Ashley shared with the room details of a fundraising campaign that will see 95 new units built to support housing in Greater Victoria, tying it to their values of connection, belonging and inspiration.
