Big changes to Ontario auto insurance are already here. 🚗
As of July 1, 2026, some accident benefits that used to come standard with every policy became optional — meaning what you’re covered for may have already changed without you noticing.
If you renewed after July 1, your coverage carried over as-is. If you’re buying new, you now have to choose your optional benefits upfront. Either way, don’t assume the cheapest quote has you covered — check.
