GSAN: Glendon South Asian Network The Glendon South Asian Network is a club on Glendon Campus that promotes the various different cultures present in South Asia and creates dialogue.

Here is an update on the situation in Nepal.

At least 3,326 people are now known to have died in a massive earthquake which hit Nepal on Saturday, say officials.

Recently Nepal was devastated by a 7.8 magnitude earthquake, resulting in an estimated 3000+ deaths and 7000 injured; numbers that are unfortunately expected to grow. The international community and organizations have been quick to respond to the tragedy. Our prayers and thoughts are with the people of Nepal. Here is an update on the situation and a list of ways to help.

Congratulations to Kailash Satyarthi and Malala Yousafzai on their Nobel Peace Prize for all the work they have done for children in South Asia and around the world.

Félicitations à Kailash Satyarthi et Malala Yousafzai!

A Pakistani advocate of girls’ education, Ms. Yousafzai, 17, is the award’s youngest recipient. Mr. Satyarthi of India shared the prize for his work to protect children from exploitation.
