Save this one for when the holiday sales start šŸŽ

Every year I watch smart, capable women (me included!) get to January and wonder where December went. So this year, let’s decide before December decides for us.

1. Pick your holiday number now
2. Split it by person (yes, include yourself)
3. Spend it without the guilt

Here’s what that can look like with a $1,000 holiday number:

šŸŽ Kids: $200 each ($400)
šŸ’› Partner: $150
šŸ‘µ Parents & family: $200
šŸŽ Teachers, hosts & secret Santa: $100
🦃 Food & hosting: $100
ā˜• You: $50

Your number might be $300 or $3,000. The amount matters less than deciding it.

A plan isn’t restriction. It’s permission.

Send this to the friend who always says ā€œI’ll figure it out in Decemberā€ šŸ˜…

Ever felt like you’re ā€œnot rich enoughā€ to have a financial advisor? šŸ™ƒ

I hear this all the time, and I totally understand where it comes from. But the best time to get help isn’t once everything is perfect. It’s when things feel messy.

Not sure where your money goes? Carrying debt? Trying to save but it never sticks? That’s exactly where a plan helps most.

You don’t need money to get a plan. You need a plan to build the money. šŸ’›

What’s held you back from talking to someone about your money? šŸ‘‡

ā€œI’m just bad with money.ā€ 😩

I’ve been a financial advisor for over 20 years, and I hear this almost every week. My answer is always the same: how would you know that?

Most of us were never taught a single thing about money. That’s not a character flaw. That’s a missing lesson, and lessons can be learned.

šŸ‘‹ I’m Paula, and I help women take the fear, guilt, and shame out of money. Follow for the money lessons nobody taught us.

ā€œI’m just bad with money.ā€ 😩

I hear it from clients all the time, and my answer is always the same: how would you know that?

Most of us never had a single class on budgeting, investing, taxes, or debt. We got a bank card, or a credit card at college or university and a best of luck from the company. Then we blamed ourselves when it felt hard, or we weren’t quite sure how the card got maxed out so quickly.

That’s not a character flaw. That’s a missing lesson. And lessons can be learned, at any age, from wherever you’re starting.

Did anyone actually teach you about money growing up? Please tell me below šŸ‘‡

Can we please start celebrating the quiet money wins?

Not just the big flashy stuff - the debt payoffs, the promotions and the down payments. Those are amazing, don’t get me wrong.

But what about the woman who checked her bank account this week and actually felt calm?

Or the one who moved $100 into savings and left it there?

Or the one who said no to something she couldn’t afford - without the guilt spiral after?

Those wins count. Those wins are actually where financial confidence is built.

Swipe through, claim yours, and drop it in the comments. I want to hear it. šŸ‘‡Or do you have another money win that you’ve achieved? Tell us so we can celebrate you!

Because you’re doing better than you think - and you deserve to know it. ✨

Feeling overwhelmed by debt? You’re not alone - and there’s a method that actually works. šŸ™Œ

The debt snowball method is my go-to strategy for paying off debt, and I broke it all down in one of my ā€œFriends with Moneyā€ podcast episodes - just under 10 minutes long.

No complicated math. No shame. Just a real debt payoff plan that works with your brain, not against it.

This is the kind of personal finance advice I wish someone had given me sooner. šŸŽ§

Debt and How to Handle It — go and listen now, link is in my bio.

And if you want help actually implementing a debt strategy that works for your life? That’s exactly what I do. Send me a DM or reach out - let’s make a plan together. You don’t have to be stuck in the debt cycle forever.

Have you tried the debt snowball? Drop your experience below šŸ‘‡

One thing I’ve learned over the last few years is that financial independence is about so much more than money.

Sometimes it’s peace.
Sometimes it’s confidence.

Sometimes it’s finally being able to make decisions without fear or shame attached to them.

There was a time in my life where I constantly questioned myself financially.

Now I help other women understand their money, build confidence around it, and stop feeling so overwhelmed by it all.

And honestly? I’m still learning too. Aren’t we all?

That’s the part people don’t talk about enough. Growth doesn’t happen all at once. It happens one decision, one conversation, and one brave step at a time.

If you’re in a rebuilding season financially right now, keep going.

You got this, just one foot in front of the other.

Spring always has this way of making us want to reset everything in our lives… our routines, our homes, our habits.

But one thing I don’t think we talk about enough is resetting our money.

And it doesn’t have to be overwhelming or complicated.

Just a few small check-ins can make a huge difference:

1) Look at your subscriptions or any automatic payments and what’s actually coming off each of your cards each month
(I think we all forget about things we signed up for… I know I have)

2) Get clear on what’s coming in and what’s going out
I have a FREE expense tracker in my bio under resources if you want something simple to start with.

3) Instead of just saying ā€œI want to be better with money this summer,ā€ get specific about what that actually looks like for you

Like how much you want to spend socially, or what kind of summer you want financially - intentional, flexible, or more structured

Because yes - summer is more expensive. That’s just the reality.

But it’s not something to shame yourself for. Or to think you’re doing it wrong.

It’s something to plan for, so you can actually enjoy it without the stress in the back of your mind.

A little intention now goes a long way

If this made money feel a bit less overwhelming, I’d love to hear that šŸ¤
