In 2021 the SEC quietly released free API use in order to access filing data.

While Bloomberg isn't being displaced anytime soon and filing data lacks Non-GAAP/IFRS figures, for those hitting their daily or monthly Bloomberg pull limits, this API can materially help if historical financial data is eating into your allotments.

Generative AI can create the code to make these API calls easier and customizable to your model so it can replace much of your BDH function pulls and trips to the Bloomberg terminal. If associates, analysts and others at your firm are not leveraging generative AI, you are not maximizing productivity. Let's talk.

Buy-side, issuers, even demand planners and supply chain, how do you remove all bias in generating a forecast? How about figuring out what the theoretical drivers are for your business, ask an AI tool to create a reasonable mathematical formula for each of them, let generative AI create most of the code and sit back a minute to get your forecast for each underlying driver. Free machine learning libraries have now been unlocked by generative AI, letting people such as myself with no computer science degree, no mathematics degree or MBA do what might've been an impossible task two years ago.

Watch as we forecast McDonald's ($MCD-NYSE) quarterly revenue by aggregating the auto generated forecasts for cyclicality, seasonality, negative events (from COVID), individual product demand, demand from branding and competition. No matter how much of an Excel wiz you are, the software has its limits add-ins and all. Generative AI coding tools can bring your data to life using low code software in ways only limited by your ingenuity. Here we use a free version of Plotly's low code software to show the details of our Shopify model, including estimated revenue and gross margin growth for Shopify's lines of business over time. All in a animated GIF. The majority of this code was generated using AI tools. If your firm's employees aren't leveraging the newest in AI tools, you are falling behind. Let's get in touch.
