Our mother. Our sister. Our aunt. Our bestie. Our sweet grandmother. Our colleague. The woman who helped us through our battle and now she’s in hers.

That’s why they’re back!! 🍈🍈💝🛍️

🛍️What are Breastie Bags:
BB financially support a woman in our community - one of our very own - who is presently on a breast cancer journey and is in need of financial support.

🛍️What was the reason behind Breastie Bags?
BB were launched in October of 2024 after my sweet mother passed as an act of passion to honour women -women like her - who are the 1/8.

➡️Fact: women who have experienced breast cancer have a slightly higher chance of being diagnosed later in life with a new primary. My mom was one of those women.

🛍️What have Breastie Bags done for women in our community?
In two short season Oct 2024 and Oct 2025 we have raised over $14,000 CASH for women in our community through the BB. No fees, no filters, no admin. Just cold hard cash. 

🛍️Where can you get a BBag?
I will be at Thunder Bay Regional in the main foyer Thursday (tomorrow) 10-4 and Friday 10-3, or until we sell out.

You can order your BB online and I’ll put it aside for pickup at the hospital Thurs and Fri or at Maltese on Saturday, Oct 24 from 10-12.

🛍️ Can I donate without purchasing a bag?
You absolutely can. This year we have provided a QR code that will take you straight to the donation link. My book keeping team and I will be keeping track of every donation and will post intermittently as the funds come in.

This is our 3rd year doing the Breastie Bags and we are so excited to see how it all unfolds.💝💸

I LOVE this initiative more than any other I have ever led because of the raw impact of the results and how closely it lands for me and people I love.

Providing relief to a woman here in our community is an absolute privilege and honour.

Sometimes I wonder how I became so obsessed with
Crush Coffee! 😂💗

One day I woke up and there it was permanently embedded on my heart and in my life. And, I’ve never been able to shake it.

So, looks like you’re stuck with me and my hopeless obsession with all things Crush and Coffee.

By the way, Breastie Bags will be launching this week for the third year in a row at Thunder Bay Regional Hospital in the main entrance.

Be like Aila (Ayla) 💗

The highlight of our night setting up for TBaytel Luncheon of Hope was meeting this rockstar ⭐️.

Ayla is a bundle of energy, passion, and brilliance. She recognized our pink bag of coffee right away and was eager to share her story with us. (We have permission to share her face on video.)

Ayla helped us set up our coffee bar, and was a great help. We couldn’t have done it without her incredible eyes for design ! 💐

I’ve invited her back to volunteer at the Crush Coffe bar today at Luncheon of Hope. We’re hoping she’ll show!

We will have hot coffee and our specialty Crush cold brew available at the coffee bar.☕️🥤

We can’t wait to see everybody there today!

Today is a Crush Coffee prep day over here as we get ready for the Tbaytel Luncheon of Hope tomorrow at Superior Inn hosted by TBR Health Science Centre 💗☕️

Of course, it makes sense that Crush Coffee is the official coffee sponsor for this event because we’re all things pink and we are all things women.

But, let me tell you something that has a little bit more meaning…

My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in her 60s. She was one of the lucky ones. I had her for another 20 years. Not all stories end that way.

A very close friend of mine was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer on Christmas Day and lost both her breasts so that she wouldn’t lose her life and leave her children motherless.

Too many women that I know are fighting for their lives in their 30s 40s 50s and 60s because of this relentless disease.

I know that there is a cure for all cancers. I absolutely know that with all the money that we’ve been dumping into breast cancer research that there is a cure out there. I’m not sure why we haven’t seen it yet, but it’s there. And so until we have a cure revealed and no woman walks this planet with the fear of losing her b—-s or losing her life, I’m here for it.

The next two days will be big, but it’s worth it. And, every time I start to feel like it’s a lot I’m gonna remind myself that it’s a walk in the park in comparison to what our beautiful sisters are dealing with every day as they journey through their treatments.

📣Five fun facts about Crush that will surprise you! 📣

1. The women on the front of the “Women of the World” (WOW) bag represent women from all around the world. If you look closely, you’ll notice the profiles are all very different. We chose not to use skin colour because we don’t want to put anybody in a box. 💃🏽💃🏼💃🏼💃🏻

2. The name and concept of Crush came to me in 2023 while I was driving, listening to Tony Robbins interview with the founders of Boom Chicka Pop. I pulled over on the side of the highway, called a friend and told her what just happened. Eight months later Crush Coffee Co was born and the bags were on shelves. 🚀

3. I didn’t know that coffee literally grew on trees until I launched Crush. The bean is actually a seed of a fruit they call a cherry - it looks a lot like a cherry. Who knew! I ended up picking coffee off of trees when I was in Guatemala this year. It was such a beautiful experience. 🍒

4. I actually disliked coffee until I became a high school teacher in 2000 and found myself drinking it all day every day. Now I’m so obsessed that I started a coffee company. ☕️

5. I launched Crush because I saw a gap in marketing and representation of coffee. I would walk down coffee aisles and see boring brown paper bags with black and white labels, black bags, grey bags, blue bags with masculine images and think, “why isn’t there a pretty pink bag that speaks to women because if there was I’d buy it!” So, I created it myself. That’s where the pink bag concept came from. True story.💗

Now Crush is on shelves and in the largest grocery store in Canada. 🇨🇦 We are ready to grow across Canada and into the US 🇺🇸and baby, we will!

Join us on the journey! And, purchase Crush Coffee. When you do you support women all around the world from local, to national, to global! That is the kinda impact we are here to make!

The taste of the coffee and the branding are curated for women. You are our WHY!
