The biggest problem in Canada right now isn’t that people spend too much.
It’s that incomes haven’t kept up with reality.
10 years ago:
✅ Rent was lower
✅ Groceries were cheaper
✅ Interest rates were lower
✅ Homes were more affordable
Today:
❌ Rent doubled for many families
❌ Grocery bills exploded
❌ Mortgage renewals are causing financial shock
❌ Insurance, utilities, and property taxes keep climbing
Meanwhile, most people’s paycheques didn’t double.
The bank says, “Cut back on spending.”
But you can’t budget your way out of a math problem when everything costs more and your income stays the same.
That’s why more Canadians are:
• Starting side hustles
• Looking for second incomes
• Learning about investing
• Building businesses
• Taking control of their finances
The goal isn’t just to spend less.
The goal is to earn more, keep more, and make your money work harder than you do.
