RATES ARE GOING UP. For whatever reason the media is only focused on whether the bank of Canada will lower the prime rate and have completely missed the fact that fixed rates and variable discounts have gone up 4 times in the last 4 months. Everyday I talk to people who think rates are coming down and are taking their time only to wind up with a higher rate. If you have a mortgage transaction coming up please don't wait. There. That's my public service announcement for the day.
