An important update about Breeze:

After a lot of careful planning, I’ve decided to sell Breeze to my long-time manager and friend, Linda Moore. As many of you know, Linda has been a core part of this business for many years, and I’m genuinely excited to see her step into ownership and build what’s next.

As our clients already know: nothing changes right now. The current processes, contacts, and services will continue exactly as they are. Over the coming months, we’ll continue our gradual transition to reflect Linda’s new business name, True North Administration.

As part of this transition, we’ll eventually be closing down the Breeze Facebook and Instagram as Linda moves forward with her new business name!

For anyone curious about my next chapter: Fraser and I are settled into life in Moosomin, SK, and I’ve simply made a personal career pivot. I just completed my Indoor Group Cycle Certification and opened a boutique dark indoor cycling studio here in town. After years of being behind a computer, I was ready for work that’s less sedentary and more aligned with a physically active life—and the timing was finally right.

A Season of Gratitude and New Beginnings

We have a few important thank-yous and announcements to share!

Three Years (& Cheers) for Linda —

Thank you to Linda for being with Breeze for three years and continually showing up with grace, kindness, and leadership. Breeze wouldn’t be where it is without you steering the ship.

When I first hired for the position meant to “take over so I could eventually have children without interrupting business services,” I never imagined I’d find someone I’d trust 100% with my business baby. You’ve continued to surprise and delight me with your dedication and commitment to learning.

It should come as no surprise to anyone who knows you that this partnership has grown into something new— Waystone Software - Canada . More on that later.

Four Years (& A Few Tears) for The Accounting Club —

Thank you to all of our Accounting Club clients for growing with us, and for your understanding as we have decided to close down this venture. Thank you to our developer Mark Swann for his expertise, patience, and support as we worked to scale The Accounting Club Software—and for over a decade of mentorship and guidance for me personally. (Here’s to another decade to come.)

WESK Summit —

Thank you to WESK - Women Entrepreneurs of Saskatchewan for inviting me to speak at the Summit this fall. It was an honor to share the stage and connect with so many incredible entrepreneurs. I truly enjoyed making the topic of bookkeeping just a little more digestible and relatable.

I’m currently working on a follow-up event to that presentation: a Intuit QuickBooks Online Support Day (or Weekend)—a hands-on workshop designed to empower entrepreneurs with practical, in-person QBO support.

Muskoka (in Moosomin) —

This summer, I managed to convince/bribe over a dozen friends and family members to visit the beautiful town of Moosomin, Saskatchewan, where my spouse now works as a family physician after completing his residency in Regina.

To honor our Ontario roots, Breeze has opened a Muskoka Shelf at Trends Mercantile in downtown Moosomin—bringing a little taste of Muskoka to the Prairies.

You can now find a selection of wonderful Muskoka-made products available locally. This has been a special project for me, as I miss living in Muskoka deeply, but Moosomin has been a truly welcoming community where we’ve been able to put down roots (we even bought our first house!) and contribute to organizations like the Moosomin Visual Arts Centre and MADAC.

Linda and I are now working together on a new venture: Waystone Software. Inspired by the idea of a Waystone—a guiding beacon—we aim to help businesses seeking clarity and direction in their software journey. We’re still in the early stages, but we’re eager to build tools that address real pain points and bring clarity to complex business challenges.
