10 Things about Me 💜

1. My locs! They are 6 yrs old. They are all natural ( my own hair only ). I did them myself. They are self maintained. It was a personal choice mostly re:my spiritual path. I love that along the way I've lost some, I've added some, some are growing and forming all on their own. 💓

2. I am a momma to 2, and a bonus momma to 2 more. 3 boys, 1 girl. All individuals in their own way. 🫶🏼

3. I own an Argentine B&W Tegu. 4 cats + 1 dog.

4. My birthday is 10 days before Halloween and I love that. 😍

5. I'm teaching myself how to shuffle. 🙈 No one knew this until now. You're welcome.

6. I enjoy pool, darts, bowling, frisbee, and running ( I don't do the last one.. but when I do! 😂 )

7. I have been to Jasper-AB, Kenora-ON, Sosua-DR, Ubud-BALI - driven to New Brunswick, flown from Halifax - Into Gander..

8. I've never broken a bone.. but I've had a lot of stitches. thus far. LOL

9. I prefer books - I LOVE my library. It will keep me company when the world goes quiet.

10. I have over 20 houseplants. 🪴

⚔️ Tarot Message of the Week — Two of Swords

This week's card comes from the House of the Dragon Tarot — and this deck is an interesting one.

Although it's a traditional 78-card Tarot deck, many of the Minor Arcana cards are illustrated more like a pip deck. Rather than showing us a person acting out the meaning of the card, we're given the symbols themselves.

And this week, we have two crossed blades.

The Two of Swords.

This is a card of indecision, uncertainty and the moments when we find ourselves caught between two choices.

Sometimes we don't have enough information yet.

Sometimes both paths carry consequences.

And sometimes we've thought about something for so long that we're no longer actually making a decision — we're simply standing still.

The Two of Swords doesn't necessarily tell us which path to choose.

Instead, it asks us to notice what is keeping us from choosing.

Are you genuinely waiting for more information?

Are you trying to keep the peace?

Are you afraid of making the wrong decision?

Or are you hoping that if you wait long enough, the decision will somehow make itself?

There is a difference between taking time to discern and avoiding what we already know.

Perhaps that's the question to carry with you this week:

⚔️ Am I still considering my options… or am I afraid to choose?

A little about pip decks:
In Tarot, a pip-style Minor Arcana doesn't always give us a complete scene to interpret. Instead, we're presented primarily with the suit symbols and their number — leaving more room for traditional card meanings, numerology and our own intuition to enter the reading.

Sometimes less imagery gives us more room to listen.

Choice is a heavy thing sometimes.

Choice is the builder of the life we live.

Funny thing is... We forget we can change it.

Do something different than last time, or different from anything you've ever done before.

It's the power of decision - and deciding what the decision means to you, and your journey.

However, we also give our power away when we allow auto pilot to make the choice for us because we have decided to " check out " - aka fall into habit. Routine. Comfort...

Autopilot making the decisions for you, lands you in a life you did not create for yourself - your fears, triggers, nervous system, and likely your inner child - chooses for you. They choose safety in familiarity.

The scary thing is familiar keeps you in your loops. Keeps the same problems coming back. It's keeps the lessons on re-play.

The last decision you made, was it you? Or auto pilot?
