So I know there is some opposition to my beard out there (Mom, Nona...Amanda W.) so I figured I might as well put their money where their mouth is! I'm setting a reasonable overall goal of $300 to shave my face into almost any facial hair style you can think of, chosen by the highest bidder (only catch, it must include the moustache, I have worked far too hard to lose it without rocking it solo fo

r a bit first). Brackets aside, given the right donation I would be willing to do whatever is asked of me. The style will stay for one week and will include my first Triathlon of the season, the Ottawa Early Bird. The charity of choice is the rare Charitable Research Reserve, a fantastic place that protects over 900 acres of natural land! They give everyone in the community the opportunity to get outside and connect with nature, a cause that has always been near to my heart. Let's "TRI to Make a Difference" (see what I did there?!) together folks and raise some money to keep amazing charity in good standing with the bank. Hi again everybody!!!

Now, I want to start by saying thank you to everyone who donated this spring to shave my face, it was a blast. If you donated this spring then I am not asking any more money from you (right now)
BUT! Now that my tri season is coming to an end, the Run/Walk for rare is upon us! I will match donations made to me (up to a max of $200) multiplied by my finishing position in the race. Therefore, if you guys donate $200 and I finish 1st, I will match all of it. If together we raise $50, and I come 4th, again, that will be $200. Hi all! I would like to start by thanking Jessica Jordao for getting us up to the $300 mark, that's right, the beard will be leaving shortly. But first! Dan Mines will get to decide it's fate for a week...that is unless someone beats his donation of $61.50 before noon TODAY!!! It's not too late folks! Plus you would just ruin Dan's day which is always fun. More updates and pictures soon to come!!

WE ARE SO CLOSE!

Current winning bid is Dan Mines at a whopping $61.50, but we are still just $33.05 short of the $300 goal. Who will be the person to push it past?
