This is so true

There's a simple way to stand out in any room: Leave people better than you found them.

Not in some grand, life-changing way. Small stuff.

The compliment you didn't have to give. The introduction that took you 30 seconds but opened a door for someone else. Actually listening when someone's talking instead of waiting for your turn.

Most people are extractors. Every interaction is about what they can get. The connection that benefits them. The conversation that serves their agenda.

Flip it.

Be the person who deposits. No agenda. No tracking. Just leave things a little better than you found them.

This compounds in ways you can't predict. The random introduction becomes a business partnership. The small kindness gets remembered years later. The five minutes you gave someone shows up when you least expect it.

But that's not why you do it.

Are you superstitious?

Although I don't consider myself to be, I saw this doe last night. She stood so nice to let me get a photo. I felt so blessed to have these sights so close to home.
