Can I tell you something I heard on the first day of work?
I was thinking about this the other day...
Imagine landing your first full-time job after graduation. And finally seeing that first paycheque hit your account.
It’s exciting and naturally your mind starts going to all the things you can finally afford.
Whether that is a nice apartment, a new car or maybe Trips you can take.
Maybe just thinking about treating yourself a little because you’ve worked hard to get here.
And honestly there’s nothing wrong with that.
But what you should know is: Every raise doesn’t have to become a lifestyle upgrade.
Before you increase your lifestyle think about your future. Even if it’s something small.
Personally, I would set up an automatic contribution every payday before you get used to spending it.
Because here’s the thing you’ll forget about that money being contributed in a month. But your future self won’t.
If you’re just starting your career and don’t know where to begin, comment START and I’ll send you the framework I usually share with people getting started.
