Ina, a matter of husband, Peter, just purchased life insurance.
After having a daughter, they knew it was time to put some protection in place.
They liked that permanent life insurance protection could be combined with tax-advanaged cash
accumulation.
In this case, they chose Equitable Life's Equamax participating whole life insurance.
While meeting with their advisor, Joe, he mentioned that Equamax could also be used to provide
protection for their daughter, Mia.
Ina and Peter had never considered life insurance for their daughter, but were willing to listen
if it could work for them.
Joe explained some of the benefits of Equamax for children.
A few of them resonated with Ina and Peter.
First, insurability.
Purchasing a permanent life insurance policy early ensures that Mia has protection in place
for life.
If something were to happen that would make her ineligible later, she would have
already locked in some insurance protection.
Second, cost.
It's much less expensive to purchase an Equamax life insurance policy now, since Mia is a
baby.
By choosing a 20-page policy, it will be fully paid for by the time Mia is a young adult.
And finally, Equamax is eligible to earn dividends.
Equamax has a guaranteed minimum cash value outlined in the contract, and can also accumulate
tax advantage non-guaranteed dividends.
As the cash value of the policy increases over time, Mia can use the cash value as she
chooses.
Maybe she wants to use it to help pay her tuition, or maybe to help fund her wedding, or
down payment on a house.
Perhaps you'd like to leave it, let it continue to accumulate, and then use it to help supplement
her retirement income.
The point is, Joe explains, since the cash value accumulates with dividends, once a
dividend is paid, it can't be taken back.
So the cash value can't go down, unless Mia withdraws from it.
Equamax can provide a lifetime of protection, along with the opportunity to accumulate wealth
at an affordable price.
Equip with this information, Ina and Peter purchase Equitable Life's Equamax participating
in whole life policy for Mia.
