It’s been such a long time since I’ve introduced myself—I thought it was about time.⁣

I started this account back in 2018 with a passion for travel & writing. I came up with the name LostBlondeSole, not because I don’t know how to use the right version of the word “sole/soul” but because I wanted to encapsulate trying to find your path. ⁣

As I have changed this account has changed with me, I don’t talk much about travel anymore, but I find the name is still very suiting. When I unexpectedly got pregnant with our son back in 2018 I had no idea the ways in which my life & world would be turned on its head (outside of the obvious). I started to unpack my own childhood. Postpartum was one of the hardest times of my life. I was faced with chronic pain throughout my entire body, from head to toe. This sent me on a mission to figure out what the f**k was going on.⁣

I came to realize that I had been suppressing trauma & pain for so long that my body couldn’t handle it anymore, it was shutting down on me—thus began the long journey of healing, mind, body & soul. I’m still a soul trying to find her path, walking around a little lost. I try not to box myself in. I’m a multifaceted human who each & every single day is discovering more about her self.⁣

The motto I have carried with me comes from the great Brené Brown - “Staying vulnerable is a risk we have to take if we want to experience connection.”⁣

Some topics I touch on:⁣
-Mental health⁣
-Narcissistic abuse & recovery, along with the choice to go no contact with my mother and step-father⁣
-Healing & growth⁣
-Spirituality⁣
-Recurring miscarriages ⁣
-Self discovery after a childhood of not being able to.⁣
-My journey with social anxiety & breaking through ex.Joining Soccer for the first time in 15 years⁣
-Gardening & plants⁣
-Baking⁣

Random facts about me:⁣
-I live with my father-in-law & my grandma ⁣
-I LOVE Taylor Swift (been a die hard since debut)⁣
-My first name (Holland) is my grandma’s last name & also my son’s middle name⁣
-I’m vegan⁣
-I’m the co-founder of & founder of
-I have a blog lostblondesole.com⁣
-I am an Arbonne IC (but do things my own way)⁣

Looking to get more out of your day? ⁣

Do you feel like you have so much to do but can’t seem to organize your brain to get it all done?⁣

I’ve been there. ⁣
Scratch that, I’m there pretty frequently actually. But when I started incorporating time blocking into my day, I realized I could achieve it all and more. ⁣

And no, I’m not telling you to grind it out for 16 hours every day filling every hour with tasks and obligations. With time blocking you can and should add in self care, alone time, family time, work time etc. ⁣

We’re anti grind culture over here ❌ ⁣

As a stay at home mom, I find planning out how I’m going to entertain the toddler simultaneously while planning out my day ex. Screen time, a craft, snacks etc. helps ensure I carve out the time I need in order to follow my schedule. ⁣

With that all said, we’re also against rigidity. Allow flow into your schedule, this serves as a guideline for you to help organize your brain a bit. Sometimes we can’t control a sick kid who only wants cuddles or when our body is screaming at us to have a couch day. ⁣

One of the most impactful ways to support yourself when creating new habits and routines is to not be hard on yourself when you “mess” up. It’s bound to happen and further to that, it should happen because we’re human and it’s part of our learning process. ⁣

Did you know it’s often the self hate talk, guilt and shame we put on ourselves that holds us back from showing up after we fall off our new routine? ⁣

It’s important to not only allow our human-ness to shine through, but to embrace its messiness. ⁣

What I love about time blocking, is it really made me accountable for all of my awake hours. I was shocked when I realized I’m up for 16 hours a day yet seem to never have time to do anything. Laying it out really helped my visual brain connect to the amount of time I actually have. ⁣

I’d love to hear your thoughts on time blocking. Do you have an intentional schedule you follow? Maybe you’ve fallen into one naturally that works for you. I’d love to hear ☺️

Lost Blonde Sole - A Travel Blog

So….Who am I?

I was 6…maybe 7. Straight blonde hair spilling over my shoulders as I turned and looked back at my mom who was a blurry silhouette through my tears. She through her hand up in the air and mustered up the best smile she could and waved goodbye. I waved back then looked towards the lady who was waiting patiently a few steps ahead; she had long brunette hair that was tied back in a tight ponytail, wearing a navy blue pencil skirt and a blazer with the red logo to symbolize “Air Canada” on her left shoulder. The lady extended her arm and I reached for her hand and we walked towards the gates. There was a lanyard hanging from my neck with the letters “UM” written on the tag; indicating I was an “unaccompanied minor.”

I was born in Lasalle, Quebec; when my parents split up my mom moved back to her home (Vancouver, British Columbia) but this time with a new roommate (me). From the age of 2 I have been flying back and forth from Vancouver to Montreal and started flying solo at the age of 5 (up to a 6 hr flight each way) yearly. I’ll admit, some years I HATED getting on that plane alone, but jump forward; I have never been more grateful to have had such an opportunity like I had starting at such an young age and continuing to be apart of my life forever. I can say without a doubt I was truly born with the travel bug.

Now my fiancé and I spend our time building our “empire” as we like to call it while ensuring we make time to travel to as many places as we can. My goal is to share our adventures, travel tips, and help you travel the best way possible. Not just a Canadian travel blog, but one to help young people trying to start their lives while living in expensive cities travel around the world.
