Yesterday, the Bank of Canada announced another rate increase. This was the 10th increase since the Bank began in March 2022. For those of you in fixed rates, you will not see a change. However, if you are in a variable rate and have questions please feel free to reach out anytime! I am here to help and offer advice.

As the Bank of Canada once again hiked interest rates in its fight to tame inflation, it remains unclear when a future pause might come.

For those of you wondering about the new first time home buyers plan, this is a great read! It sounds like the banks are all hoping to have this account available by the end of 2023.

Prospective homebuyers wanting to take advantage of the federal government's new Tax-Free Savings Account will have to wait longer, despite the program's official launch date of April 1.

This is an interesting read on how people are feeling about variable vs fixed rates at the moment. I do believe that a variable rate can save you money over the long term, however if you cannot afford the increases that may come a fixed rate is nice to guaranty that payment.

Following this months interest rate hike from the Bank of Canada, some mortgage brokers say variable rate products are still popular despite the risk of further increases.

The Bank of Canada has raised rates again, this time by 0.50%.

The Bank of Canada has raised its overnight rate to 3.75 per cent from 3.25 per cent. Since March, the central bank has increased its policy rate six times, aimed at tackling inflation and bringing it back to its 2 per cent target.
