We are marvellously lucky to have so many local farms on the Sunshine Coast! They are bursting with colour and delight at the Farmers Market, down the road from you at the neighbourhood Farm Stand, and filling up your weekly CSA Box just brimming with flavour.
Supporting local farms means that we get to know where our food comes from, how it's grown, and that our dollars are supporting our own resilient community. The cherry on top is the magic of it all - the story we can be a part of: the joy of seeing gorgeous veggies filling up a field that we pass by each day, marvelling at new produce that you didn't know existed, now a favourite on the BBQ, or having a farmer with a soil streaked brow light up as they tell you about their favourite new tomato and the absolute dream of sweet juice you'll have dripping down your chin.
Come be a part of that story Sunday, June 18th, from 1 - 2 pm at Grounded Acres Organic Farm. We will be gifted personal time with them to tour their fields, see the hundreds of little seedlings in their nursery, check out how all that salad manages to make it to your plate each week, call out to the happy chickens, and learn the beauty of growing food for your community!
