OUR COMMUNITY IS WHAT WE MAKE OF IT

Our Charitable Society was created and authorized on September 20, 1994. This registered charitable organization is 100% run and organized by our firefighters who donate their time to assist our fundraising efforts. Our mandate is provide direct support to those in need within the community of Delta, specifically those suffering from medical or financial distress, as well as collect and disburse funds to charities and organizations within Delta as well as a few select provincial and national charities whose cause is near and dear to our heart. Our firefighters can be found at many local events happening throughout Delta during the year, both raising money for our own initiatives as well as supporting other organizations with their fundraising endeavours.

🥇 Champions on the court, but the real winners are the charities! 🏆🏓

Delta Firefighters took home the top spot in the First Responders Cup at the 2nd Annual Pickleball Charity Challenge! While we love bringing home a victory, the true win was coming together at The Nest in Tsawwassen to support some incredible causes.

Every smash, dink, and rally helped raise vital funds and awareness for HeadsUpGuys, Make-A-Wish BC, and the BC Lions Alumni Development Fund.

A massive thank you to presenting sponsor Rick’s Heart Foundation, the amazing organizers, the sports legends who came out, and everyone who cheered us on. We’re already looking forward to defending the title next year! 🙌🔥

When the alarm sounds, we move as one. But our strength as a team is forged long before we put on our gear—it’s built on the solidarity of our union. Knowing our rights and families are protected is what allows us to focus entirely on the job at hand.

We stand united for:

🔥 Safe working conditions for every member
🔥 Just recognition for the risks we take
🔥 Unwavering support for our loved ones
🔥 Security and dignity after the fire is out

This , we honor the power of workers standing together to raise the bar for everyone. Wishing a safe and Happy Labour Day to our brothers and sisters, and the entire labour community!

It’s our 4th year, we’re aiming to continue our tradition of breaking sales records year after year! Our Charitable Society, founded in 1994, has grown thanks to the dedication of many passionate firefighters. When Barnside Brewing approached us about reviving the Harvest Festival name—which we originally launched in 2013 and ran successfully through 2019—we were thrilled to get involved. Running the 50/50 at the energized Barnside Harvest Festival has been a blast: great music, great people, and a great cause. Visit our website to learn more about our ongoing initiatives and help us support the new ones our amazing Firefighters are working on behind the scenes. Thank you for your continued support in raising over $40,000 over the course of this Festival!
