🎭 RENT at Neptune Theatre — One of Broadway’s most iconic rock musicals is on stage at Neptune Theatre until August 30. RENT follows a group of young artists living in New York City’s East Village as they navigate friendship, love, creativity, and change. With unforgettable music and a story that has connected with audiences for decades, this is your last weekend to catch it in Halifax.
🦉 Hope for Wildlife Open House — Take a drive out to Seaforth on Saturday, August 29 from 12–4 PM for Hope for Wildlife’s annual Open House. Get a behind-the-scenes look at their wildlife rescue and rehabilitation facility, including the medical facilities, animal nurseries, recovery units, marine units, and flight cages. There will also be educational booths, kids’ activities, live music, food, and more. With funds raised supporting their work helping injured and orphaned wildlife across Nova Scotia.
🇱🇧 Halifax Lebanese Festival — The Halifax Lebanese Festival is back August 27–30 at the Olympic Community Centre! Celebrate Lebanese culture with a weekend full of incredible food, live music, traditional dancing, cultural performances, and activities for the whole family. Come hungry for shawarma, falafel, tabbouleh, hummus, baklava, and plenty more. Admission is free!
