Michelle Larmand Photography Tiny wedding + elopement photographer based in a small town just outside of Edmonton not far from the picturesque mountains of Alberta, Canada.

Creator and host of Wildly the Workshop held every year just outside of the amazing Golden, BC. I’m Michelle, a full-time wedding photographer currently based out of a little town outside of Edmonton, not far from some of the classic picturesque mountains of Alberta, Canada. I first became interested in photography as a teenager, playing with film cameras and experimenting with photo shoots, but i

t was not until my own experience with my wedding photography that I discovered my love for photography and decided to pursue it as a career. Since then, I have been traveling the globe with my husband–from the gentle slopes of the mountains of Banff to the coasts of Croatia—learning the ways of travel, photography, and the beautiful combination of the two. Together, and through all my travels, I have built this business one photographic adventure at a time. Of all the adventures I have been on, the best have been the ones where I get to capture the moments when two people commit the rest of their lives to each other through life’s greatest adventure: marriage. My photography on those adventures is driven by the authenticity of my subjects, the intimacy of the moments, and the adaptability of the process. I don’t follow a script or have a list of pre-planned poses. Instead, I follow a feeling and watch for natural connections and movement. For me, it’s all about capturing the intimate, romantic, adventurous, fun, and unexpected moments between you and your love. I have found that time and time again I am drawn to the wildly romantic couples with wildly romantic ideas for their photographs. When I’m not making travel plans for my next adventure, you can find me at home in Alberta, Canada where my husband and I live and explore.

Mother’s Day...

She’s awake at 2am.
Counting tiny fingers.
Feeling the weight of them on her chest.

Already… it’s changing.
Wrinkly newborn skin softens.
The way they curl into you doesn’t last long.

I’m holding space for a few newborn sessions this season — slow, gentle, baby-led.

Book by March 14th for a sweet discount to capture these fleeting first weeks — check my stories for details.

Even the wildest snowstorm couldn’t hold them back.

In April, they said ‘I do’ on a frozen Lake Louise, surrounded by the people they love most — wind, snow, and all. What could’ve been chaos turned into the most breathtaking, unforgettable backdrop. The storm made it colder, wilder, and somehow even more beautiful.

Truly one of those days that proves love doesn’t wait for perfect conditions ✨

An incredible elopement, an unforgettable day, and some of my favourite images!

This day felt like something out of an old Hollywood film 🎞️

Fort Edmonton Park made the dreamiest backdrop - full of character, light, and timeless charm.

What made it even more special was how they included their little girl in so many meaningful ways — from their first dance all together to him gifting his step daughter a ring with all of their birthstones, and reading vows to her. A beautiful symbol of their little family and the love they share!

There was something so personal about this session - she had written poetry for him while he sang songs for her. and they even took photos of each other with a little camera, just like old times when they worked in the film industry together.

It felt so special to capture a piece of their
story here!

(It’s moments like this that remind me why I love including engagement sessions with my wedding packages - they let us slow down and make space for what’s real.)

I had the joy of capturing their elopement and then meeting again the next morning for a sunrise session — one filled with soft light, calm
air, and that “just married” feeling. I love these next-day shoots: no timeline, no rush, just a chance to breathe it all in again, try a new look, and celebrate the start of something beautiful.
From the mountains to the river and the lake — this day gave us everything! 🌞🤍

From saying ‘I do’ to soon saying ‘hello little one’. 🤍

I had the honour of photographing this sweet couple’s wedding, and now they’ve come back to me to capture another beautiful chapter — maternity photos in their baby’s nursery! We created a cosy little moment surrounded by love (and of course their pup + cats couldn’t resist joining in 🐾).

Nothing makes me happier than when couples return for new milestones! Whether it’s maternity, family, or just-because sessions — I love being part of your story as it grows. ✨

Part 2 of this wedding day! Robyn had an outfit change for the party and they had a bottle of champagne from France so we popped it in her parents golden field as the sun came down. It was my fave part of the day and as it turns out the couples fave photos. So do carve out a few minutes during your reception for 15 minutes and you won’t regret it I promise! Which is your fave dress? Go back and check out their first post and let me know! I personally think she’s stunning in both!

What do you get when you mix a softball player, baseball player, rain and moody skies? Magic! We embraced the rain during the shoot and ran around. My biggest piece of advice is to always embrace the weather during your session. I find those that do always have the best time and the results are so authentic.

What would you do if you had adverse weather during your shoot? Or do you have a story of a time you did?

Part 1 of this incredible wedding day! First up is there portraits right after the ceremony. We embraced the full sun and explored Robyn’s meadow! She scouted this spot and it could not have been more perfect of dreamy! Robyn envisioned a “French Countryside Garden Wedding” I think we nailed the vibe here. I love it when couples have a clear vision and then let me run with it! What’s your vision for your perfect day?
