I was 25, being paid for the sport I love. Then, BAM. My whole world started crashing down. I had a seizure on the ice and was rushed to a hospital. As I clutched on to my (now) wife's hand, we were told that I had a brain tumor the size of golf ball.

I wish I was approached by someone who could let me know, “anything can happen tomorrow, just protect yourself and your loved ones today."

I wish I knew what I know now about all the benefits life insurance can have.

I wish that I didn't think I was invincible.

In my 35 years I have had many ups and downs, from my fulfilling career as a professional hockey player to my 7 year battle with brain cancer. But not one thing compares to my loving family.
