The financial decisions you make in your 20s and 30s can either protect your future wealth or quietly cost you later.

Most young professionals focus on earning money, but very few understand how insurance can also be used as a tool for wealth protection, financial security, and long-term investment planning.

Join the FinGen Society for Bites & Insights: Insurance as a Tool for Wealth Protection and Investment on Thursday, June 11 at 12:00 PM.

RSVP: https://luma.com/e5p18mb4

Together with industry professionals, we’ll explore how products available in The Bahamas — including life insurance, health insurance, annuities, and other planning tools — can help protect income, preserve assets, and support long-term financial goals.

Featuring:
• Shantel Saunders, Principal of Assurance Wealth & Advisory Services
• Wayne Miller, Sales Manager
• Moderated by FinGen member Jonelle Gardiner, Compliance Analyst

If you’ve ever thought insurance was “something to worry about later,” this conversation is probably for you.

Over the weekend, the FinGen Society dedicated part of the holiday weekend to giving back through a beach and park clean-up at Goodman’s Bay. It was great to see our members come together in support of an initiative led by our Community Service Committee, reinforcing the importance of community, collaboration, and environmental responsibility. 🌴

Thank you to Butterfield Group for partnering with us and supporting this initiative.

Most of us grew up with the same financial playbook — save, buy property, repeat. But is that enough?

Last night's FinTalk Series on the topic “Creative Wealth: Art, Real Estate, Alternatives, and the Modern Investment Portfolio” explored what a truly well-rounded portfolio can look like for Bahamian investors today, from local art and real estate to digital assets and private credit.

The biggest takeaway: do your research before you invest. The investors who succeed are the ones who go in informed.

Thank you to Jolyn Oldham, Bobby Chen, Jodi Minnis-Rolle, and Deno Moss for a great conversation. Stay tuned for our next session!
